All three of us enjoyed very much the thoughtful equipment and furniture in this very special, historical and spacious house. We liked to sit around the dining-table after kitchchen preps. We loved the comfortable "salon" with sight over the nice terrace to Penzance harbour and city, that gave us the feeling to be in the midst of real life in this environment. We could reach all practical and cultural items on foot, and we had a good restaurant quite close. We had a friendly landlord who not only gave us recommendations according to our interests, but had already turned on a warm light that received us at our arrival and made us feel at home. Thankyou, Nigel!
We were a group of four old school friends and we loved Penzance and Sea view cottage. The accommodation was just what we needed giving us a warm, clean and tidy space to get together and enough space to have some privacy too. The Balcony overlooking the harbour was both nice to look out onto from the sitting area and a good place to have evening drinks before heading out to explore the restaurants of Penzance. We enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness of the staff at the Boatshed restaurant where a 10% reduction is offered for people staying in the house. We'd have no hesitation in returning and probably will do so soon with family members. Its less than a 10 minute walk from the railway station and very convenient for Penzance town centre and the promenade.
The cottage layout works well with the sitting room on the 2nd floor which gives the best view over Penzance harbour. The bedroom I had was lovely and dark, which I prefer for a good nights sleep. Kitchen has all that is required and a large table. Penzance has a lot of places to eat in the evening and we were regulars for lunch at Hens Deli. One evening we walked to Mousehole and had very tasty fish and chips in the pub and got the bus back to Penzance which runs late even in the winter.
