COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY

Should government restrictions come in to force that mean you are unable to travel and/or our properties have to close and your holiday cannot go ahead, or if a covid-19 related illness prevents you travelling, then please get in contact with us to discuss your options.
As we would still like our guests to have a holiday to look forward to, we would encourage you to postpone your trip and can offer you a change of dates at no additional cost. Dates are flexible and can be changed to anytime up to 31st December 2022. If the cost of your new dates are much higher due to peak season, then you will be charged the extra cost.
If you are unable to choose new dates straight away, we can issue you with a credit voucher than can be used towards a new booking when it is convenient for you.
In the event that you need to cancel, we advise you to have a valid travel insurance policy in place that will cover you, however please discuss with us as we may be able to offer a refund subject to management's discretion.

RESERVATION

We offer live availability and pricing of all of our properties on our website. Prices stated may include an additional guest charge for larger groups. Bookings can only be made if the number of persons in within the maximum occupancy for the property.

If you would like us to assist you in choosing a suitable property, please fill in the enquiry form sending us your details and requirements and we can put together a tailored holiday for you.

A provisional reservation will be held for 5 days. If we have not received your deposit payment within 5 days, we regret that your reservation will lapse and the dates will be put back on sale.

DEPOSIT

If a reservation is made eight weeks or more before the arrival date, a deposit of 25% of the rental price must be paid. The balance is payable no later than eight weeks before the arrival date. If your holiday begins within eight weeks from the time of reservation then the full rental price is payable immediately.

PAYMENTS

All payments must be paid as scheduled in your confirmation email. Please use your booking reference as the payment reference if paying by bank transfer or PayPal.

Any overseas bank charges or fees associated with transferring funds are the responsibility of the guest, and Bosuns Holidays will not be held responsible for any shortage of funds.

CANCELLATION POLICY               

We strongly advise that you have a travel insurance policy in place when booking your holiday with us. If for any reason you need to cancel, please contact your insurance provider to check if you are covered.

Please let us know straight away that you wish to cancel so that we can re-advertise the property for other guests to enjoy.

In the event of cancellation less than eight weeks before a holiday begins, the whole rent is payable unless we succeed in re-letting. With more than eight weeks notice, the deposit only would be forfeit. Refunds will be given under management's discretion.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Properties will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival. We will ask you for you estimated arrival time so that we can arrange to meet you at the property or arrange collection of the key.

We ask all guests to leave the property by 10.30am on your departure day.

PARKING

There is parking for cars at Cherry Tree Lodge and for one car at Sea View Cottage and Sail Loft Lookout. On street parking is available within short walking distance for our other Penzance properties.

SMOKING

We regret that our properties are available to non-smoking guests only.

COTS

Cots can be made available but may only be occupied by a child up to two.

PETS

Upon request very well-behaved pets maybe considered. Owners take full responsibility for any damage by their pets, and must ensure that pets are not allowed on furniture, and any loose hair is cleaned prior to departure. There is a charge of £20 per pet, per week, with a maximum of 3 pets allowed per property.

ELECTRICITY, HEATING & LINEN

Electricity is included in the rent, as is central heating where provided. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. However, please note that the linen for cots is not provided, nor are beach towels.

TENANTS' OBLIGATIONS / THE TENANT AGREES:

a)     in line with the booking agreement, arrival and departure dates are final. All guests must depart the property on the agreed departure day by the agreed check-out time. We may agree to extend your stay on request depending on availability, and any additional charges will be billed to you.

b)     to pay for any losses or damage to the property.

c)     to take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at departure. Bosuns reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the property is not left in a satisfactory condition.

d)     to permit the owners and their agents' reasonable access to the property.

e)     not to part with possession of the property, or share it, except with members of the party listed on the letting agreement.

f)      not to exceed the total number of people stipulated in the property description.

g)     The property is offered for the purpose of serviced holiday accommodation only, and no such illicit activities or unauthorised business use are permitted. If the tenant(s) are suspected/found to be engaging in any such activities, they will be asked to immediately vacate the property and the holiday agreement will be terminated.

Termination of any tenancy/use of any of our properties is at the discretion of the landlord, and immediate departure will be required.

GROUPS UNDER THE AGE OF 21

Unfortunately, we do not allow groups under the age of 21.

LIABILITY

Bosuns Holidays shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or property which the applicant or any other person may suffer or sustain rising out of or in respect of any letting.

GOVERNING LAW

The contract embodied in the booking is governed by English law, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

COMPLAINTS

We try to take every care to prepare our properties to a standard whereby our visitors will enjoy their holidays. If a problem or cause for complaint does arise, please let us know immediately. Every effort will then be made to assist you.
